In addition, the site will host a plethora of sponsored content and site advertisers to meet the full range of needs an individual might encounter when planning their wedding or assisting in the festivities.
BlackBridalGuide.com was founded by Dina C. Tate. Ms. Tate’s eCommerce background began while working as a Website Supervisor for ESSENCE By Mail (EBM). EBM was the parent company of ESSENCE Magazine and the #1 selling African-American women’s catalog. From her first day on the job she became an eCommerce Tour de Force. Ms. Tate doubled website sales in eight months and exceeded website sales projections by 191. Because of her hard work and achievements, she was recognized in several trade publications. As EBM doors closed, Ms. Tate then went on to become E-Commerce Manager at the New York CityStore. The CityStore is the official website of the City of New York. Ms. Tate also acted as an eCommerce Consultant over the years as well.
While she was gaining experience with eCommerce, Ms. Tate felt that it was important to educate herself in the field as well. In 2002, she received her Master’s Degree in Management Technology from Polytechnic University in New York City. In 2007, she received her Advanced Graduate Certificate in Marketing from Pace University. Ms. Tate was also bestowed the honoring of giving the commencement address at Radio City Music Hall.
It has become a mission of Ms. Tate to make African-Americans couples have a place to call home on the web.
